When we first<br \/> unloaded it off the truck the first thing we did was remove all the<br \/> suspension parts and put in all brand new IPD parts. We installed<br \/> new springs shocks, swaybars and we lowered the car alot. This is<br \/> very tricky because of the independent rear suspension. We actually<br \/> had IPD fabricate one of the parts to make the whole thing work.<br \/> Then we I had a brand new set of 16\" 740\/940 Turbo rims polished with<br \/> Goodyear GS-C 205\/55\/ZR16 tires. The wheels and tires make the whole<br \/> car it looks like it is motion even when it is standing still. I am<br \/> not kidding when I tell you I cried when I picked up the wheels they<br \/> were so perfect and exactly what I wanted. They make the car look<br \/> like it is wearing silver slippers. Not only that but the handling<br \/> is way beyond what any of us expected. The car is so low and stiff<br \/> that there is just no body roll at all, regardless of speed. We had<br \/> the three rear windows blacked out. I installed a new Volvo stereo<br \/> EQ which came standard with earlier model 780's (the 1991 came with a<br \/> 6 disc CD player but no equalizer) The 1991 also came with a plate<br \/> on the dash that has Nuccio Bertone's signature.<\/p>\n<p>And last but not least, I was able to get the California license plate<br \/> of \"BERTONE\". Someone else already had the plate so I hired a private<br \/> investigator to contact the person to see if they would sell it to me,<br \/> and they did. The private investigator cost me $75, all he did was<br \/> make a couple of phone calls. The plate cost me $125, the owner<br \/> didn't even have it registered on a car. It didn't even spell BERTONE<br \/> for him so he wasn't that attached to it. This guys name was David<br \/> Bertelson and the license plate said \"BERT ONE\" (he had a 1\/2 space<br \/> between BERT and ONE) his brother had \"BERT TWO\" I can not tell you<br \/> how much I love having that license plate on this car.<\/p>\n<p>I love this car more than any other car I have ever owned. It was<br \/> delivered to me with on 35 miles on it and I know have 93,000. I can<br \/> not imagine every getting rid of the car.<\/p>\n<p>I also own a 1993 Blue Volvo 940 Turbo station wagon with 50,000<br \/> miles.
