Locking doors


Switch, central lock

The vehicle is equipped with a central lock-
ing system. Locking/unlocking the driver's
side front door will automatically control the
other door.

Unlocking doors
Both front doors can be opened by the door
key. Unlocking the driver's side front door will
automatically control the right side front door.
To open the doors from the inside, first the left
part of the armrest switch must be depressed
(position OFF) or the knob on the door pulled
(pulling extra hard will also control the right
front door).
Both doors are locked when the knob on the
door is depressed.
To lock the doors when leaving the vehicle,
depress the knob on the door (depressing extra
hard will also lock the right front door) or de-
press the switch in the armrest (to position ON)
before closing the dor. Also thedoor key can
be used to lock the door (locking the driver's
front door will lock the dright front door.





ON    =   locking both doors
OFF   =  unlocking both doors


The lock buttons should not be in the down
position during driving. In case of an accident,
this may hinder rapid access to the occu-
pants of the vehicle

Pull the release handle (located under the left
side of the dash)













Lift the hood slightly, insert a hand under the
center line of the hood and depress the safety
catch handle. Open the hood.
Check that the hood locks properly when
closing.










The gas cap is located behind the door on the
right rear fender. Open slowly during hot
weather conditions.
When filling, position the cap in the special
bracket on the door.
After filling the tank, install the cap and turn
until a "click" is heard.
Note: Unleaded fuel is required for all mod-
els. A label on the instrument panel and rear
fender, near the filler inlet, will remind own-
ers and filling station attendants of this re-
quirement.
Important! It is unlawful to dispense leaded
fuel into any vehicle labeled "unleaded gas-
oline only"
