The comfort in a Volvo Top Executive is in a class of its own. Wide-opening doors contribute to dignified entry and exit.
Soft, relaxing plush upholstery makes traveling a pleasure. A stereo radio with four loudspeakers and seperate volume controls for rear seat passengers is standard.
And so is air conditioning. The window winders and radio aerial are electrically operated. And of course, the rear door windows can also be operated from the rear seat.
There are two extra folding seats at the rear and because this long wheelbased version is 70 cm longer than the Volvo 264GLE, there is an abundance of room for up to six passengers plus the driver. The folding armrest of the rear can be fitted with a telephone.
The Volvo Top Executive is equipped with a really powerfull, completely reliable, quiet running V6 engine.
It has superb perfomance at all speeds which also makes it the ideal car for slow dignified travel on important occasions such as processions.
At the same time it has masses of instantly responding extra horsepower for fast, safe overtaking. The 3-stage automatic transmission has a torque cenverter and six illuminated selector posistions as standard.
The Volvo Top Executive is an extremely safe car with a very strong chassis and impact absorbing front and rear crumple zones which provide a high degree of buit-in crach safety.
The passenger space is constructed in the form of a steel cage and further protected at the sides by reinforcing steel members in the doors.
The fuel tank is placed entirely separately from the passenger and luggage compartments for even greater safety.
Automatic transmission is standard. The Volvo Top executive is available in dark blue or black with grey plush upholstery. In dark blue, metallis silver or white with blue plush upholstery.

Volvo 264 TE is equipped with two foldable
extra seats.




The folding armrest houses controls for
the reading lamps and the volume control for
the stereo loudspeakers.
Space is provided for a telephone.
Adjustable reading lamps for rear
seat passengers - one on each side.


Suitcases can be conveniently stood with
"handles up" in the spacious boot, which
is trimmed to the same high standards as the interior.

Brake pipes of rust-resistant copper and nickel

Relief valves in each circuit prevent the rear wheels
from locking up prematurely during emergency
braking. Master cylinder of stepped-bore type.
Handbrake operates on rear wheels through
separate drums.
